AI Disclosure

Last updated: September 24, 2026. Plain-English disclosure of how outfie uses machine learning for virtual try-on.

1. Purpose of this page

outfie (outfie.io) is a clean AI clothes changer. This disclosure explains what the AI does, what it does not do, which models we use, how safety screening works, and how freemium quota interacts with rejects. It complements our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Acceptable Use Policy.

2. What the AI does

When you upload an adult selfie and select a preset outfit, our pipeline asks an image-generation model to replace clothing regions in your photo with the selected wardrobe look while aiming to preserve face identity, pose, and overall framing. Typical latency is on the order of ~15 seconds for a Preview, longer for HD.

• Preview (anonymous freemium): lower-resolution try-on (~512–640px long edge), badge labeled Preview.
• HD (signed-in Google UID): higher-resolution try-on, limited to 1 successful HD per Google user per UTC day.

Outputs are synthetic fashion previews. They are not a guarantee of how a real garment will fit, drape, or look on you in person.

3. Models and processors (current stack)

• Try-on generation: Black Forest Labs Flux.2 Flex (Preview) and Flux.2 Pro (HD), reached via OpenRouter.
• Selfie eligibility / safety: multi-modal vision — primarily Alibaba Qwen3-VL via OpenRouter — to check for an adult face, minor risk, NSFW signals, and no-face cases. OpenAI Moderation may also be used.
• Hosting: Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2, and edge network for the application and short-lived image storage.
• Sign-in: Google OAuth (we never receive your Google password).

Model providers and versions may change as we improve quality or compliance. Material changes will be reflected on this page.

4. What the AI does not do

• Not Face Swap. We do not intentionally swap your face onto another person or another person's face onto you. The product slogan is Change clothes. Not Face Swap.
• Not undress / remover / NSFW. We do not offer clothes-remover, undress, nude, or pornographic tools, and safety screening blocks those intents.
• Not custom garment upload in v1. You pick from our locked preset wardrobe (eight Must outfits), not arbitrary uploads of any clothing photo.
• Not a multi-tool suite. There is a single try-on experience — no satellite Face Swap page.
• Not training on your private selfies for public ads without explicit opt-in.

5. Artifacts and limitations

Generative models make mistakes. Common artifacts include warped hands, messy collars, uneven fabric edges, lighting mismatches, and slight identity drift. Soft quality issues (blurry / dark / heavily cropped uploads) may produce weaker results; we may ask you to retry with a clearer front-facing selfie.

6. Safety rejects and quota

Before generation, classifiers may hard-reject uploads for minor (or uncertain age), NSFW, or no-face. Those refusals are calm, adult, and non-alarmist. Hard rejects do not burn your anonymous Preview or signed-in HD quota. Technical failures on our side likewise do not burn quota.

7. Data handling tied to AI

Uploaded selfies and generated images are purged from active storage within 24–48 hours. Metadata logs (quota counters, safety decision codes, request ids) may be kept longer for abuse prevention and reliability. Details: Privacy Policy.

8. Human oversight

Automated screening is the first line of defense. Abuse reports and appeals are reviewed by humans under the AUP. Contact support@outfie.io.

9. Changes

If we change models or disclosure material facts, we will update the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised disclosure together with the Terms.
